Was macht man als Gusstechnologe/-login EFZ?
Als Gusstechnologe/-login EFZ stellst du Gussteile aus Metall her und sorgst dafür, dass sie die geforderte Qualität erreichen.
- Formen und Kerne herstellen (z.B. Sandformen) und Giessformen vorbereiten
- Metalle schmelzen, Legierungen nach Vorgaben herstellen und den Gussprozess überwachen
- Gussteile entformen, reinigen, nachbearbeiten und für die Weiterverarbeitung bereitstellen
- Qualitätskontrollen durchführen (z.B. Masskontrolle, Sichtprüfung) und Ergebnisse dokumentieren
- Anlagen, Öfen und Hilfsmittel einrichten, warten und einfache Störungen beheben
- Arbeitssicherheit, Umwelt- und Recyclingvorgaben im Giessereibetrieb einhalten

Für die Lehre als Gusstechnologe/-login EFZ sind diese Voraussetzungen wichtig:
- Abgeschlossene obligatorische Schule (je nach Betrieb meist Sekundarstufe A oder B)
- Gute Leistungen in Mathematik, Physik und technisches Verständnis
- Handwerkliches Geschick und sorgfältige, genaue Arbeitsweise
- Interesse an Metall, Werkstoffen, Maschinen und Produktionsprozessen
- Belastbarkeit und Konzentrationsfähigkeit (z.B. Hitze, Lärm, Staub in der Produktion)
- Zuverlässigkeit, Teamfähigkeit und Verantwortungsbewusstsein für Sicherheit
